  • Fresh Ginger. You will need a three-inch piece, peeled and sliced thin. This adds a little bit of spice to the drink.
  • Fresh Turmeric Roots. You will need six pieces of about 1" each, washed, peeled, and sliced thin. Gives the drink its gorgeous color and the health benefits of turmeric.
  • Whole Peppercorns. Black pepper adds just a little bit more bite to the tea and facilitates the absorption of turmeric.
  • Water. The great thing about homemade teas is how much water you can consume!
  • Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice. The recipe amount is a minimum, you may add more to taste and flavor.
  • Honey. You may need more or less than the recipe calls since sweetness is subjective. Honey is high in antioxidants and has antibacterial properties. Local honey is also thought to help with local allergies.
