Neeraj Chopra eventually achieved a long -awaited milestone by throwing the first Indian spear to dissolve a 90 -meter mark in an international competition. Neeraj came with a sensational throw of 90.23 meters to achieve the national record with his personal best. However, it was not enough for him to win as he finished second behind Germany’s Julian Weber (91.06 m). PM Narendra Modi resorted to social media to congratulate him on his achievement. “A magnificent feat! Neeraj Chopra to dissolve the 90 meter mark in the Doha Diamond League 2025 and congratulate his personal best throw. This is the result of his tireless dedication, discipline and passion. India is proud and proud.”

Neeraj responded to praise and thanked PM Modi for his kind of words and encouragement.

Neeraj Chopra dropped a heartbreaking message to his German competitor Julian Weber, when the two broke the record and first broke the 90 -meter mark in their stellar career.

On Friday, during the Nail-Biteing Competition in Doha Diamond League 2025, Neeraj’s much-awaited 90 meter throw was finally on the show, when he sent his spear 90.23 meters. However, despite his all -time best, the two -time Olympic medalist had to settle in second place due to an attempt to leave Weber’s jaw of 91.06 meters.

Neeraj shared an image of himself with his German counterpart on Instagram on Saturday and wrote, “We did, brother.”

Two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj made a strong start at the Qatar Sports Club with a world-agron throw of 88.44 meters. After a dishonesty in his second attempt, he sets a new national record on his third attempt with a stunning 90.23 meter throwing.

His previous best was 89.94 meters, two years ago in Stockhom Diamond League. Over time, Neeraj has done six throw in a range of 89 meters, but has missed a 90 meter milestone by a whisker.
