Meta has appointed Arun Srinivas as its new managing director of India’s operation with influence from 1 July, a step that recently is the head of both India and South East Asia after the expansion of Sandhya Devathan’s portfolio.

In his new role, Srinivas will lead the Meta’s trade strategy in India, focus on aligning innovation, revenue and development efforts, the company said. He will also be responsible for deepening the relationship with advertisers, developers and partners in one of the most important markets of Mata. Srinivas will continue to report to Devathan.
IIM, a postgraduate, a postgraduate, Hindustan Unilever, Reebok, Ola and Westbridge Capital from Srinivas, brings about 30 years of experience in consumer and technical fields. He joined Meta in 2020 and currently heads the ADS business in India, where he is working on AI, Reels and Messaging.
Commenting on the appointment, Devathan said, “Arun’s effective track record of Arun’s high -performing teams, running product innovation and promoting strong partnership makes him an ideal leader to run the continuous investment of Meta in the country.”
Recently, in an important leadership departure, the policy head of the meta for India, Shivnath Thukral, announced to exit the company on 12 June. He took LinkedIn and wrote, “After a very satisfactory and rich journey of more than 7.5 years, I have decided to step down from Meta as VP of India’s public policy later this month.”
