Coco Goff on Wednesday marched in the semi-finals of the Italian Open by defeating Mirra Andreeva in a straight set, 6-4, 7-6 (7/5). American Goff has guaranteed himself number two in the world rankings with his concrete performances in Rome, where he saw the seventh seeded Andreva on the Center Court. Former US Open winner Gauf can face the tournament favorite Aryana Sabalenka in the last four, who can take the world number one on Wednesday on Zheng Kinwen on Wednesday. Goff is looking for his first title of the season, further from Rolland Garos later this month, after losing to Sabalenka in the Madrid final.
Indian Wales Champion Andreva, the youngest women at the age of 18, have the youngest women to reach the last eight in Four Italico since Goff in 2021, surprisingly slightly resisting the first set of a low-key.
