What is High Ground?
Positioning Yourself on High Vantage Points
High Ground can be attained in battle by positioning yourself on top of terrain, hills, ledges, and other obstacles that allows you to see the surrounding area.
Having at least one character with the High Ground during battle is a good strategy as he/she can easily spot enemies hiding behind walls or rocks that your other party members can't see.

Bonus to Ranged Attack Rolls
When you attack a target from the High Ground, you'll gain a +2 bonus to Ranged attack rolls. Combine this with a character who has high Dexterity and is proficient enough with bows so you can maximize the damage to your enemies.
What is Dexterity?
Makes You a Difficult Target to Hit
Any opponent that attempts to attack you from below will receive a -2 penalty, making you a harder target to hit as the attacks will often miss!
How to Get High Ground
Use the Jump Bonus Action
Use the Jump bonus action to leap up on top of terrain that is difficult to scale. This action also requires you to have at least 3m movement speed remaining.
To access your bonus actions, select the triangle icon near your character's portrait. Take note that the number of icons represent how many bonus actions you can do for the turn.
Click on Flat Surfaces Above Ledges or Obstacles
If the terrain has ledges or rocks within the area, you can simply click on the flat surface above them and your character will automatically climb up the ledge or obstacle.
Following this, any opponents below you that you're planning to attack should provide the High Ground bonus advantage.
