I 7 vs Tv --'W' v-T 1 Page A8 TRANSCRIPT-BULLETIN TUESDAY May 15 2001 OBITUARIES Michael Lawrence Michael Oran Lawrence 2 12 years old was called home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday May 12 2001 He was bom to Jim and Melinda Lawrence Aug 24 1998 in Logan Utah Michael loved life and lived it to the fullest during his time here with us He never let a day go by without sharing his love His warm smile and happy countenance lighted every room Michael loved being with his big brother Isaac and was so excited to get a new baby brother David He loved playing swords and cuddling teddy bears He was preceded in death by great-grandparents He is survived by his parents Jim and Melinda brothers Isaac James Lawrence (4) and David Everett Lawrence (six weeks) grandparents Charles and Sharol Lawrence of Tooele and David and Drusilla Small of Springville great-grandparents Marv and Mable Wallace and Howard and Leah Stone Also many Arena Coming to Deseret Peak Complex Thursday nights under the lights Hannah Fraser Our beloved mother and grandmother Hannah Mar Callister Stice Fraser who recently celebrated her 95th birthday passed away Sunday May 13 2001 in Orem Utah She was bom May 4 1906 in Oakley Idaho to John Warren and Annie May Elison Callister She lived her early years in Oakley Idaho and had happy memories of life with her family there The family moved to Tooele Utah in 1927 Hannah married Earl Stice on April 28 1928 They were later divorced She married James Fraser in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 27 1938 They made their home in Grantsville Utah Hannah was a devoted wife and mother and always made everyone welcome in her home She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many callings including Relief Society President Stake Relief Society Homemaking Leader as well as teaching positions in the Sunday School Primary and Mutual organizations and was a visiting teacher until six years ago Hannah had a beautiful singing voice and in her younger days sang at many church and civic functions She was an excellent cook as well as an excellent seamstress and made much of the clothing for her family She also enjoyed quilting and made many beautiful quilts Hannah will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her Hannah was preceded in death by her husband two sons Derrald Stice and John Allen Fraser and a daughter-in-law Della Stice brothers Elman Lloyd Orville and Robert Callister and sisters Vera and Isabelle Callister Michael Oran Lawrence loving Aunts Uncles and Cousins Friends can call at Tate Mortuary on Wednesday May 16 from 6-8 pm Funeral services will be held Thursday May 17 at the Tooele East Stake Center at 1 1 am Wanda Gwen Vorwaller Monson Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 16 2001 at the American Fork West Stake Center Burial will be at die American Fork Cemetery under the direction of Anderson Sons Mortuary Exciting Arena Cross Racing for all Ages A Classesl Practice Starts 6 PM Racing Starts 8 PM Sharp! Callister of Springville She is also survived by 23 grandchildren 68 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren Funeral services will be held Thursday May 17 at 2 pm in the Grantsville Marshall Crossing Ward 81 Church Street Grantsville Friends may call at Tate Mortuary on Wednesday May 16 between 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the services at the church Interment will be in the Grantsville City Cemetery Geneva LaVem Wright Morgan Vernon and Mary (Steve) Neilsen of Holladay Utah Preceded in death by her parents husband brothers Charles Aaron Wright and Clifford Wright and Interment will be in the Tooele City Cemetery Vickie Lee Miner Terry and Paula (Henry) Gutz all of Tooele Funeral services will be Wednesday May 16 2001 at 1 1 am at Tate Mortuary Friends may call one hour prior to services at the mortuary Interment will be at Tooele City Cemetery more Obituaries tmssam masmm Wanda Monson Wanda Gwen Vorwaller Monson 69 completed her probation and graduated from mortality on Day May 13 2001 She was bom July 24 1931 in Lake Point Tooele County to August Carl and Hazel Kirk Vorwaller After her death when she was six months old Wanda was taken into a loving foster home of her Aunt and Uncle Edward and Maretta Kirk Hansen She attended school in Tooele and graduated in 1949 She married Warren Smith Monson Feb 3 1950 in Tooele Utah They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple She made many homes for her husband and children as they traveled extensively with profession as a nuclear engineer with Bechtel Company out of San Francisco Calif They lived in many of die 50 states they also completed an assignment to Spain for two years Wanda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which she held many positions including Stake Relief Society President and Temple worker at ML Timpanogos Temple She loved music and often said that she could live without bread but she could never live without music Her favorites were the Tabernacle Choir Gershwin Henry Mancini and Straus Waltzes She was also very patriotic and loved the good ol USA She was proud of her pioneer heritage being a long time member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers She is survived by her devoted husband Warren of American Fork children Susan (Jim) Hartman of Draper Diane Potter of Orem Edward (Rebecca) Monson of Lehi Kathy (Robert) Speak man of Camarillo Calif Don (Carolyn) Monson of Orem sisters Beth Nina Georgia Ruby and Hazel all of Tooele County She had 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren John Thomas Savage John Savage John Thomas Savage died in an automobile accident Friday May 1 1 2001 at the age of 82 He was bora March 1 1919 in Salt Lake City Utah to Herbert William and Margaret Jane Savage John was a veteran of World War II He was a very kind and caring person to those who knew him He is survived by his brother William Savage and his sister Cathleen Savage John was preceded in death by his parents brother Rolland Savage and sister Bridgett Savage Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 16 2001 at 1 pm at SL Catholic Church 510 Vine SL Iboele The family will receive friends at a viewing one hour prior to the funeral services at the church Interment will be at the Tooele -City Cemetery Funeral Directors Tkte Mortuary Geneva Morgan Geneva LaVem Wright Morgan 82 passed away peacefully Saturday May 12 2001 at Cottonwood Hospital in Murray Utah with her daughter at her side She was bom Jan 9 1919 in Tooele Utah to Charles Mathew and Elizabeth Emily Hillman Wright and she grew up in Vernon She married Earl Llwellyn Morgan Sept 14 1936 in Salt Lake City They lived in Ophir for six years and in December 1941 moved to Stockton Utah Her husband died July 8 1993 and site was sealed to him for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Sept 14 1994 She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and was very proud of her pioneer heritage She worked at the Tooele Army Depot for 23 years and retired in May 1974 Her greatest joy was being with her family She also enjoyed gardening riding horses reading and crocheting- She is survived by her daughter Coleen (Richard) McClimans of Stockton Utah grandsons Earl (Ami) and Roger (Kym) McClimans great-grandchildren Tyler Megan Rikki Ann Ashlee and Morgan McClimans all of Tooele brothers Darrel Wright of Salt Lake City Vem (Helen) Wright and Danny Wright of Stockton sisters Cosetta Castagno of Vickie Miner Vickie Lee Miner died Thursday May 10 2001 while visiting at her son's home in Victorville Calif Vickie had suffered with a serious illness for many years Vickie was bom Sept 29 1954 in Tooele Utah She was the daughter of Paul and Juanita Hunter She married Danny Miner on Oct 10 1998 Vickie attended schools in California Pennsylvania and Tooele She was a Born Again Christian and had a strong testimony of her Savior Vickie loved her family and was strongly devoted to her children She had a real talent for crafts and gardening And decorated a beautiful home She was preceded in death by her mother Juanita Stevens and her stepfather Wayne Stevens who raised her as his own She is survived by her husband Danny Miner children Joshua Hunter of Victorville Calif and Andrew and Amy Louise Bankhead of Tooele brothers Brad Castle (Gina) of Marysville Tenn Neal Hunter (Becky) of Salt I -at City and Eddie (Burt) Hunter
