Diablo III

  1. Press Esc to open the main menu.
  2. Click Options.
  3. Click Video.
  4. Move the Max Foreground FPS slider to around 30.
  5. Move the Max Background FPS slider all the way to the left.
  6. Click Apply, then click Accept.

Heroes of the Storm

  1. In the Blizzard Battle.net desktop app, selectSettingsfrom theBlizzard Logodropdown.
  2. SelectGame Settings.
  3. CheckAdditional command line arguementsfor Heroes of the Storm.
  4. Enter -frameratecap=60 -frameratecapglue=60.
  5. ClickDone.

StarCraft II

  1. In the Blizzard Battle.net desktop app, selectSettingsfrom theBlizzard Logodropdown.
  2. SelectGame Settings.
  3. CheckAdditional command line arguementsfor StarCraft II.
  4. Enter -frameratecap=60 -frameratecapglue=60.
  5. ClickDone.

World of Warcraft

In-Game Options
  1. Press Esc to open the main menu.
  2. Click System.
  3. Click Advanced.
  4. Move the Max Foreground FPS slider to around 30.
  5. Move the Max Background FPS slider all the way to the left.
  6. Click Apply, then click Okay.
Chat Commands

To lower the maximum frame rate to 30 frames per second, enter/console maxfps 30 in the in-game chat window.

You can also enter /console maxfpsbk 3 to limit the maximum background frame rate. This command lowers the frame rate when the game is out of focus or minimized.
