Job Title: Sunday School Teacher
Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sunday School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching and guiding children in their spiritual growth and development. The Sunday School Teacher will be responsible for creating lesson plans, leading activities, and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and the needs of the students
- Lead engaging and interactive activities that promote spiritual growth and development
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all students
- Communicate with parents and guardians about their child's progress and any concerns
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Requirements:
- Must have a strong faith and commitment to Christian values
- Experience working with children in a teaching or mentoring capacity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the students and the program
Education: A degree in education, theology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Working Conditions: The Sunday School Teacher will work on Sundays during the designated Sunday School hours. Additional hours may be required for lesson planning and preparation. The work environment is typically indoors in a classroom setting.
Physical Requirements: The Sunday School Teacher must be able to stand, sit, and move around the classroom for extended periods of time. They may also need to lift and move classroom materials and equipment.
