A surprising case came to light during the anti -Naxal campaign in Chhattisgarh. During this campaign, K9 rolls involved in the CRPF battalion were martyred in a painful accident. In fact, K9 Rollo was posted in April 2024 with a Battalion of CRPF. During a campaign, a herd of bees suddenly attacked the K9 rolls. K9 Rollo was seriously injured in this attack. Although every effort was also made to save him, the vet finally declared him dead.

Actually, K9 Rollo was born on 05 April 2023 at DBTS. The K9 Rollo was trained to detect and attack infantry patrolling, explosives at DBTS itself in batch number 80. After completion of training, K9 Rollo was posted in 228 BN of CRPF in April 2024. It mainly was deployed for anti -Naxal duties along with CRPF. The K9 Rollo was also deployed with CRPF during a special campaign at Karegutta Hills (KGH) on the Chhattisgarh and Telangana border.

CRPF jawans and K9 rolls were conducting search operations in KGH area. Meanwhile, a herd of bees suddenly attacked the K9 rolls. The soldiers present with K9 rolls covered him with a polyethylene sheet to avoid bees. However, this remedy became meaningless, as the huge herd of bees went inside the cover and cut the K9 rolls badly. K9 rolls caused acute pain and irritation due to bees bites. It was given immediate emergency treatment. However, K9 rolls died on the way to the hospital due to pain and pain on the way. The vet declared him dead.
