DGMO to all three armies

The DGMs of the three armies today held a joint press conference regarding Operation Sindoor. The press craftsman included Army DGMO Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, Air Force DGMO Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti and Indian Navy Vice Admiral AN Pramod. During the press conference, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai said that all of you will know how 26 people were killed in Pahalgam attack.

Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai further said, “We started Operation Sindoor in response to the terrorist attack, which was clear that terrorism conspirators and his bases would be destroyed.” Before starting the operation, we identified the terraler camps and buildings across the border. It was a very tough challenge for us, because many of them had already been vacated, because they feared our action. Since the purpose of our operation was to eliminate the terrorists, we only targeted the terrorists in this operation. We identified 9 bases through our intelligence agencies. Some of them were in PoK and some were in Pakistan. One of which was Murid’s headquarters of Lashkar. It was here that Ajmal Kasab, David Headley took training.Operation sindoor

Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, ‘We identified with the accuracy of these terrorists and also ensured the process of bringing back their evidence. We attacked 9 locations across the border during this operation, killing 100 terrorists. Out of which three big terrorist faces involved in Kandahar Hijack and Pulwama attack have also been killed.

‘There was no other option left’

After this, Director General of Air of Air Offering Aircraft Bharti also told about the operation, ‘We had no other option left after the Pahalgam attack. We carefully selected the target. 6 out of 9 were given to target aircramps. These included the Terrorist Camps of Bahawalpur and Muridke.

He added, “We targeted them (terrorist bases) in an air to surface manner to minimize collateral damage. For this reason we attacked Muridka’s Terrorist Camp with a 4 targeted missile and neutralized it.”
