There is constant tension between India and Pakistan.

Singapore: Singapore has expressed deep concern over the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan. Singapore has appealed to both countries to reduce tension and restore peace through diplomatic methods. The tension increased when the Indian Army on Wednesday launched accurate attacks on terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK). The attacks were carried out on 22 April in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, in which wires were connected to the border. After this, on Friday night, Pakistan carried out drone attacks in 26 places from Jammu and Kashmir to Gujarat in India.

‘Both sides are requested to reduce stress’

Singapore The Foreign Ministry (MFA) said in a statement on Friday, “The ongoing military conflict between India and Pakistan after a terrible terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, is worrying.” The statement further said, “We request both sides to reduce stress and ensure safety of common citizens.” Singapore strongly condemned the April 22 terrorist attack, killing 26 people. The terrorists had brutally murdered people by asking religion during the attacks.

Singapore gave this advice to its citizens

On 7 May, the Ministry of External Affairs of Singapore advised its citizens to postpone non-essential travel to Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan. The ministry said, ‘Security situation in Indo-Pak border areas is unstable. Passengers should take special care. Singapore has advised its citizens living in India and Pakistan to be vigilant, escape from crowded places, monitor local news and follow the instructions of local authorities. Singapore has requested both countries to adopt peace and negotiations so that peace can be established in the area. (PTI)
