Hyderabad: Participants participating in the Miss World 2025 competition on Thursday offered prayers at the famous Lakshmi Narasimha Temple located in Yadgirigutta near Hyderabad. Apart from this, he also saw the process of handicraft and weaving of ekat sarees in Pochampalli village. The village has won the ‘Best World Tourism Village’ award by the United Nations World Tourism Organization. 25 African contestants received a strong reception in a traditional way in Pochampalli. She was very happy to see the complex weaving process of ekat sarees. Some participants also took experience of spinning threads with charkha.

In an open theater in Pochampalli village, Indian women presented a fashion show in Ikat and handloom sarees, which all the participants got excited. Participants from 9 countries involved in the Miss World competition, wearing a sari, visited the Lakshmi Narasimha temple. He took part in the ritual of lighting the lamp in the temple and received blessings from the priests. Along with this, he also performed the traditional ‘Kolatam’ dance with local women, which uses sticks.
