Patna: In the Nitish cabinet meeting, 69 proposals related to different departments have been approved today. The state government has changed the name of Gaya district. Gaya will now be known as ‘Gaya ji’. There was a proposal to change the name of Gaya from the General Administration Department, which has been approved by the cabinet. Along with this, the water supply project for Bodh Gaya city has also been approved.
State workers bat
The Nitish cabinet has decided to increase the DM to the state workers. The DA of state workers has been increased by two percent. Employees will now get 55 percent DA instead of 53. The benefit of this increase will be available from January 1, 2025. At the same time, it was also decided in the cabinet that the Bihar government will give Rs 50 lakh to the dependents of the martyrs who were martyred in Operation Sindoor.
The Bihar government has now decided to celebrate the birthday of BJP leader and former Bihar Deputy CM late Sushil Kumar Modi on 5 January as a state ceremony. In the cabinet meeting held today, the decision to open a separate cooperative bank for Jeevika Didi was also approved. They will be given a loan from this bank. Apart from this, a proposal to build 6 new Ambedkar hostels in Bihar was also approved. Along with this, the government has also decided to set up 45 new Anganwadi centers.
Women’s Pink Bus Service in Patna
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar flagged off 20 pink buses of the State Transport Corporation for a safe and comfortable journey of women here on Friday. He also introduced 166 deluxe buses of Bihar State Road Transport Corporation Limited (BSRTCL) to improve the quality of public transport in the state. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Transport Minister Sheela Kumari, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and several state government officials were present in the program organized at the Chief Minister’s government residence here.
The statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said, “The Chief Minister inspected the buses before flagging them and inquired about the facilities provided in them. This is an important step taken by the state government towards women’s empowerment, under which 20 pinkbasas have now started operating. This will make women travel safe and comfortable. Apart from this, 166 deluxe buses will run in various districts of the state. ”
