The Union Home Ministry has transferred several big officials of Delhi on Friday. This is transferred under a large scale reshuffle in the AGMUT cadre. These officers have been transferred to other states and union territories. These include two additional chief secretaries and one Principal Secretary.
Ashish Chandra Verma, a 1994 batch IAS officer of Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre, has been sent to Jammu and Kashmir. He was working as the Additional Chief Secretary of Finance and Revenue Departments of the Government of Delhi. At the same time, Anil Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of Environment and Forests and 1995 batch officer, has also been sent to Jammu and Kashmir, while Sudhir Kumar, Principal Secretary, Vigilance Department and 1999 batch officer Sudhir Kumar has been transferred to Mizoram.
Dilraj Kaur returns to Delhi
The special secretary of the house, KM Uppu, 2009 batch officer and Special Secretary of Transport, 2008 batch officer have been sent to Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar respectively. Meanwhile, 2005 batch officer Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, who served as Divisional Commissioner in Kashmir, was transferred to Delhi, while 2000 batch officials Dilraj Kaur will return to Delhi after being transferred from Andaman and Nicobar. He had earlier worked in various positions here.
Transfer of 40 IAS and 26 IPS officers
Other IAS officers of AGMUT cadre transferred from Delhi include 2008 batch officer Chanchal Yadav, Vinod Kavale and 2012 batch officer Naveen SL. 2012 batch officer Arun Kumar Mishra has been called from Goa to Delhi. Other IAS officers of AGMUT cadre, who were shifted to Delhi from various states and union territories, include 2012 batch officer Krishna Kumar Singh and A Nedunchezhian, 2009 batch officer Ramesh Verma and 2004 batch officer Pandurang. The Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred 40 IAS and 26 IPS officers of AGMUT cadre.
What is AGMUT cadre reshuffle?
IAS and IPS officers of union territories of the country are transferred under the AGMUT cadre reshuffle. During this time, the charge or posting of the officers is changed. It consists of officials of IAS, IPS, DANICS, DANIPS. This reshuffle is a common practice in the government, and it is done by the Ministry of Home Affairs in the case of AGUT cadre. (Input-PTI)
