
Turkish The company Selebi Airport Services India Private Limited on Friday approached the Delhi High Court against BCAS’s decision to cancel the security approval in the interest of national security. Celebration approval was canceled a few days after Turkey supported Pakistan and condemned India’s attacks on terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK. Pakistan also used Turkish drones on a large scale in military conflict with India.
Company has been working in India for 15 years
A lawyer associated with the case has confirmed the case and the petition is likely to be listed next week. Celebi has been working in the Indian aviation sector for more than 15 years and more than 10,000 people are working in it. It is offering its services at 9 airports. The Civil Aviation Safety Bureau (BCAS) said in an order, “Security approval regarding Celebi Airport Services India Private Limited is canceled with immediate effect,” in an order. Turkish Celebi unit was given security approval to this company in November 2022. According to Celebbi’s website, it handles around 58,000 flights and 5,40,00 tonnes of freight in India.
Celebi serves at these big airports including Delhi, Mumbai
The Turkish company serves at Mumbai, Delhi, Cochin, Kannur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Goa, Ahmedabad and Chennai Airports. In a statement released earlier, Celebi Aviation India said that they fully comply with Indian aviation, national security and tax rules and work with full transparency. This dismissed all the allegations regarding the company’s ownership and operations in India and confirmed its long -term commitment to the country’s aviation sector.
Dial also ends agreement
Delhi Airport operator Dial also said that it had formally terminated its agreement with Celebi’s units responsible for ground maintenance and freight at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGAI). Celebi Airport Services India Private Limited and Celibi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management India Private Limited were watching ground maintenance and freight work respectively.
