The stand named after Rohit Sharma was inaugurated at an event on 16 May at the Wankhede Stadium. The stand was inaugurated by his parents. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) officer and Rohit Sharma were present at the event. Recently, Rohit announced his retirement from Test cricket. Rohit has already retired from T20 and now he will be seen playing for India only in ODI format. Rohit is being given this honor by MCA for his unprecedented contribution in the cricket world.
