New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has made a big statement amidst India-Pakistan tension. He clearly said that if there is talk to Pakistan, then only terrorism and PoK will talk. At the same time, he also made it clear that no third party interference between the two countries would be accepted. Both countries will resolve the bilateral level.
There is no change in our approach
On the occasion of the inauguration of the Honduras Embassy in Delhi, External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar said this while answering the questions of media personnel. He said that for years, it is agreed between the two countries that our relationship and behavior will be completely bilateral. There has not been any change in this.
Pakistan should stop sheltering terrorists
External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said that PM Modi has made it clear that talks with Pakistan will only be on terrorism. Pakistan will have to close the infrastructure of terrorists. They know what to do. We are ready to discuss terrorism with them. These are the talks that are possible. The only issue for discussion on Kashmir is to vacate illegally occupied Indian territory in Pakistan -occupied Kashmir, we are ready for that discussion.
Sindhu water agreement will be postponed
The Foreign Minister said that we got a lot of international support in the tension situation with Pakistan. We had the proposal of the United Nations Security Council that criminals should be held accountable and on 7 May they were held accountable through Operation Sindoor. External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar said on the question related to the Indus Water Agreement with Pakistan that the Indus Water Treaty is postponed and it will remain postponed until Pakistan stops across the border terrorism.
