
Uttar Pradesh K Jewar has received another major gift from the central government. The central government has approved the setting up of sixth semiconductor plant here with a cost of 3706 crores. On Wednesday, the cabinet of the Modi government approved India’s sixth semiconductor plant in Jewar (UP). This plant will be a joint venture of HCL and FoxConn. This plant will produce 36 million (3.6 crore) mobile phones, laptops, computers, automobiles display driver chip per month. Significantly, this is the second big gift from the Central Government to Jewar. Earlier, Noida International Airport is being constructed in Jewar. This year, service is expected to start from this airport anytime.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Union Cabinet has approved India’s sixth semiconductor unit in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh. So far 5 semiconductor units have been approved under the Bharat Semiconductor Mission and there is rapid construction work. Production will start in one unit this year. There is another super-advanced unit in this connection. It will be a joint venture of HCL and Foxconn.
