Rajouri: After the tension between India and Pakistan, people living around the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir have suffered a lot of life and property. In the shelling done by Pakistan, the life of common citizens began to threaten and people had to leave home and take shelter in the bunkers. Atal Dullu, Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, met people living near the Line of Control, affected by Pakistan on Tuesday.
Pakistan fired in residential areas
Chief Secretary Atal Dullu said during this time that more bunkers will be constructed to protect the border people. He said that the total number of bunkers is 9,500 at present. The Chief Secretary said that Pakistan has fired in non -military areas, causing heavy damage to livestock and assets. Dullu underlined the need of more bunkers along the Line of Control and the international border, saying, “I want to tell you that there are 9,500 bunkers at the border line in Jammu and Kashmir.”
The number of bunkers will be increased
He told reporters here, “The demand for bunkers is increasing and more bunkers will be constructed. There will be no shortage of bunkers. ”The Chief Secretary visited the Kalasian Panchayat of Nowshera tehsil located near the Line of Control (LoC), where some houses have been damaged due to the recent shells from across the border. He said, “I have come to assess the ground situation in Rajouri and Nowshera sectors. Citizen areas have been affected by cross -border shelling. ‘
Heavy loss to property
Dullu said that some people were injured. He said that “there has been a loss of livestock and there has been a huge loss to the property.” The Chief Secretary said that the administration will distribute compensation soon after assessing the loss. Dullu interacted with the affected people during his visit and assured them of all possible help from the administration. The Chief Secretary later visited the Government Medical College Hospital (GMC) at Rajouri, where he met patients including those injured in the shelling incident. (Language)
