
Jhanab Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh’s body was found in the drain.
A girl from Shivaji Nagar area of Govandi, Mumbai went missing two days ago, whose body was recovered. The girl has been identified as 15 -year -old Jhanab Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh. The body of the girl was recovered from an open drain on Saturday evening.
Father filed a missing report
According to Jhanab’s family, she went out of the house to throw a garbage bag from the house at around 10 pm on Thursday night, but did not return after that. After this, the troubled father Iqbal immediately lodged a report of his disappearance at the nearest police station.
Yesterday evening, when some people of the area complained of strong odor from the drain in front of the Durga Seva Sangh, the local residents saw the garbage in the drain. During this time, the body of the minor girl was found in a bad condition.
Case filed against unknown person
The body was immediately reported to Shivaji Nagar Police Station. Police officers reached the spot and took the body in possession and sent it for postmortem. Shivaji Nagar Police has started investigation by registering a case of murder against the unknown person in this case under Section 137 (2) of the Code of Justice of India (BNS).
The police is currently waiting for the post -mortem report, so that the exact cause of death can be known. The police is investigating in this case from every aspect and is looking for an unknown accused.
