The hideouts of many Pakistani terrorist organizations were completely destroyed in these air strikes of India. Furious with this action of India, Pakistan targeted and attacked many of our cities. Responding to these attacks of Pakistan, India blew up many airbase in the neighboring country. Today we will learn about the strategies of India here, with the help of which we have dusty dust at the economic, diplomatic and military level without fighting a complete war.
Economic pressure
Canceling of MFN status: India withdrew the status of Pakistan’s most preferred nation (MFN) trade after the Pulwama attack. This led to 200% tariff on Pakistani imports, which effectively stopped bilateral trade.
Indus Water Treaty Pressure: India accelerated hydroelectric projects (Kishanganga, Ratal Dam) to maximize its part of Indus water, reducing the flow of water in Pakistan.
Isolating Pakistan in global financial systems: India pressured for FATF Gray-Listing (2018-2023), making it difficult for Pakistan to get international loans.
Diplomatic and political separation
Global campaign on terrorism: India has successfully lobbied the United Nations, FATF and G20 to highlight Pakistan’s role in sponsoring terrorism. Declaring Masood Azhar as a global terrorist is a great example.
Stopping SAARC initiative: India stopped Pakistan -backed projects in SAARC, which has weakened Pakistan’s regional influence.
Strengthening relations with Pakistan’s colleagues: India deepened relations with Gulf countries- UAE and Saudi Arabia, which once supported Pakistan. These countries now invest heavy in India.
Military and strategic pressure
Surgical Strike (2016) and Balakot AISRIRARIC (2019): India demonstrated India’s power to attack terrorists by entering Pakistan without fighting a full -scale war against Pakistan.
Powerful and state-of-the-art weapons: India’s military modernization (Rafael Jet, S-400 missile) overtook Pakistan’s struggling economy.
Strengthen security on LoC and IB
Fencing and monitoring: India has completely fencing the LoC to prevent infiltration and deployed thermal imaging, drone and AI-based surveillance.
BRO Infrastructure Push: Great roads and tunnels such as Zojila, Atal Tunnel gives impetus to military activities in war situations against Pakistan.
