Disputed comment on Operation Sindoor, police filed case
On Sunday, officials said that the Etah police have registered a case against a person on social media against Operation Sindoor for allegedly posting objectionable remarks. Sub-Inspector Karam Veer Singh said in his complaint, “I was on patrol on May 10, when an inflammatory video went viral from Vicky Khan (Sahil Khan) account on Facebook. The video made derogatory remarks against Operation Sindoor against Pakistan.”
Policeman complained
SI Karamveer Singh said, “Comments were also made against the BJP, causing anger among the people. An attempt was made to adversely affect national unity.” Based on the complaint of Karamveer Singh, a case was registered against Vicky Khan (Sahil Khan) at Kasganj police station on Saturday under Section 197 (allegations that damaged national unity, anxiety) of the Indian Justice and Information Technology Act. Police said that local police and cyber cell have collected screenshots and technical evidence of the post.
