Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the countrymen on the occasion of ‘National Technology Day’ on Sunday. Recalling the Pokaran nuclear test on the occasion, he said that on this day our scientists fulfilled the resolution of ‘Samarth Bharat, Saksham Bharat’ by doing nuclear tests in Pokaran.
What did CM Yogi say?
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in a post on social media platform ‘X’, “Wish you all scientists in the creation of new India on National Technology Day!” He further said, “Our scientists had set a new step towards the accomplishment of ‘Samarth Bharat, Saksham Bharat’ by doing Pokaran nuclear tests on this day and established our scientific consciousness on the global stage.”

With this post, he also shared a video of a program of nuclear test during the tenure of late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. National Technology Day is celebrated every year on 11 May. The day is celebrated to honor the achievements of scientists, engineers and technologists of India and to promote the technological development of the country.
Explain that the first nuclear test was done in 1974, which was named ‘Smiling Buddha’ code. The test was conducted on 18 May 1974 in Pokhran, Rajasthan. This was followed by the second nuclear test in 1998. These tests were conducted on 11 and 13 May 1998 in Pokhran. On May 11, three equipment was exploded on 3 and 13 May.
