Total blackout in Jaisalmer, markets will be closed from 5 pm, coaching center-library and hostels also closed

Schools are closed, roads and streets are deserted, most people are inside their homes and siren rings in between. Due to India-Pakistan tension, the country’s border districts still have the same condition. On Friday morning, there was some stress for the residents here. After a stressful night, life was normal in these districts on Friday morning, but amidst a strange silence, the lines of concern were clearly visible on the face of the people. That night was very tense.

People’s nights are being cut amid stress

India and its fiery neighboring Pakistan feared there was a power failure in these border districts, sharp blasts were ripping silence and people were quite scared as their houses are located on the border. However, the night was cut without any untoward incident and people living in the border areas of Rajasthan and Punjab breathed a sigh of relief. Rajasthan shares a border of about 1,070 km with the neighboring country.

Jaisalmer administration continues strict advisory

In Jaisalmer, the district administration has issued a guideline in view of the current conditions. According to the order of District Collector Pratap Singh, orders have been issued to close all the markets of the district by 5 pm on Friday. With this, the time period of black out has been extended to 12 hours. Now a completely blackout has been announced from 6 pm to 6 am on the second day. Also, orders have been issued to close the Ramgarh-Tanot road after 3 pm. Orders have been ordered against those who do not follow these orders.

Collector Pratap Singh has also announced the closure of the coaching center, library and hostels of the district till further orders. Earlier, all government and private schools up to 12th had announced holidays.

Guidelines and instructions issued by District Administration Jaisalmer-

  1. Stop the market by 5 pm. The district will be completely blackout from 6 pm to 6 am.
  2. Keep all types of lights closed during blackout. Also, traffic from all types of vehicles including two -wheeler, three -wheelers and four -wheelers will be completely banned.
  3. Traffic within the radius of 5 km of the defense area will be completely forbidden. If any person appears undesirablely roaming in this area, strict legal action will be taken against him.
  4. Person/passenger going on Ramgarh-Tanot Road should complete their journey by 3 pm. After 3 pm, traffic on Ramgarh-Tanot Road will be completely forbidden.

In view of the current circumstances, guidelines have also been issued for the residents by the District Administration, Barmer. The district administration has said that every citizen should follow the rules.

Guidelines issued for Barmer-

  • After 5 pm today, all the markets of the district will be completely closed. Blackout will be in force from 6 pm to 6 am.
  • It will be mandatory to keep all the lights closed of all homes and establishments. During this time, running of any vehicle will be completely banned.
  • Two -wheelers, three -wheelers and four wheelers will be stopped overnight. Completely no entry within 5 km radius of defense area.
  • If any suspect is seen in this area, strict action will be taken.
  • The operation of drones in the district will be completely banned. There will be complete ban on the use of fireworks/firecrackers in the entire district.

Significantly, India is adopting an aggressive attitude against Pakistan, causing Pakistan to be furious and is attacking against India and is trying to carry out new attacks.
