In a post written on social media platform X, President of Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz said, “I urge both countries not to reduce immediate stress and do not follow this dangerous path, which can only lead to destruction.” He said that the people of the union territory are suffering the tension between India and Pakistan.

Along with this, he said, ‘As the danger of war is increasing and loss of valuable life continues. There is deep sorrow and concern in our hearts. Unfortunately, whenever the tension between India and Pakistan increases, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have to bear the brunt of it. People across the LoC are facing huge difficulties, as their lives, shelters and loss of livelihood are seen as a personal damage. ‘
